Yas Island Theme Parks: How Many Days, Tickets and Annual Passes?

How to plan Ferrari World, Warner Bros. World, SeaWorld and Yas Waterworld: time per park, single vs multi-park vs annual pass, and what suits tourists or residents.

Friends who visit Abu Dhabi with children always ask the same question: how many days do we need on Yas, and which tickets should we buy? Here is the practical plan I give them. I have deliberately left out prices: they change with seasons and promotions, and the only reliable number is the one on the official site on the day you buy.

The four parks and how long each takes

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi — indoor, so it works in any weather. Thrill rides, including some of the fastest roller coasters in the world, plus gentler attractions for younger children. Plan 5–7 hours; less if you are only there for the big coasters on a quiet day.

Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi — also indoor, themed around Warner Bros. and DC characters. Very good for families with children of mixed ages. Plan 5–7 hours. Three Harry Potter lands — Hogwarts, Diagon Alley and the Forbidden Forest — are under construction, with completion targeted for 2029, according to the official announcement.

SeaWorld Yas Island, Abu Dhabi — indoor marine-life park with large aquarium environments and rides. Plan 5–7 hours, and check the show and presentation timetable on arrival so you can plan around it.

Yas Waterworld — outdoor water park. Best from autumn to spring; in high summer go early. Plan 5–7 hours, more if you want to rest in the shade between slides.

A full park each day is the comfortable rhythm. Trying to do two big parks in a day is possible for teenagers and adults, exhausting for small children.

What else is on the island

  • Yas Marina Circuit — track experiences, and on some evenings public access for cycling and running sessions such as TrainYAS; check the circuit's schedule.
  • CLYMB Abu Dhabi — indoor skydiving and climbing.
  • Yas Bay — waterfront dining and evening walks.
  • Etihad Arena — concerts and events, including UFC and major tours.
  • Yas Mall — shopping, cinema and a break from the heat.

Single park, multi-park or annual pass?

OptionBest forWatch out for
Single-park ticketVisitors with one or two daysUsually the highest price per park
Multi-park ticket (2, 3 or 4 parks)Visitors spending 3–5 daysValidity windows; check how many days you have to use it
Annual passResidents and frequent visitorsTiers differ in parks, blackout dates and perks; compare carefully

For a tourist on a short trip, a multi-park ticket matching the number of park days usually makes more sense than buying single tickets. Hotels on Yas sometimes include park access — compare before booking separately.

For a resident, an annual pass can pay for itself after a handful of visits, especially with children and if you like to drop in for a few hours on a weekday evening. Read which parks each tier includes; the cheapest tier does not always cover all four.

Prices I quoted in an older video are out of date, so I am not repeating them. Check the official Yas Island site for current prices and promotions.

What about Disney?

Disney and Miral have announced a Disney theme park resort on Yas Island. There is no official opening date, so it should not shape your trip planning — or a property purchase. More on what is confirmed in our piece on Yas Island to 2030.

My take

For a family of four on a first visit, I suggest three park days — Ferrari World or Warner Bros. World, SeaWorld, and Yas Waterworld if the weather is right — with a rest day in between at the beach or Yas Bay. For residents, the island is one of the best reasons to live in Abu Dhabi with children; it is also why so many families look at homes on Yas.
